1. Am I a candidate for porcelain veneers?
Most people who are not satisfied with their teeth or smile are candidates for dental veneers. Here are some common problems that veneers can easily fix or cover up:
- Excessive staining
- Teeth that are flared out
- Broken, chipped, or cracked teeth
- Teeth with excessive wear due to age or poor hygiene
2. How long do high quality porcelain veneers last?
Most high quality porcelain veneers will last at least 10 years, but as with anything else it comes down to the time and effort you place into caring for your veneers. Some veneers may last 20 or more years if properly cared for.
3. I have noticed that some people have dark lines around their teeth after dental work, and this is a concern of mine. How do I know this won’t happen?
Absolutely not! The reason you see black lines around some people’s teeth is due to outdated cosmetic dentistry procedures. At Houston Veneers we are on the cutting edge of the cosmetic dentistry profession, and you can be rest-assured no black lines will appear around your pearly white veneers.
4. I have seen veneers go from less than $700 to over $2,000 per tooth. Why the difference in price?
We understand your concern, but that is like asking the difference between a brand new Mercedes and a beat up old clunker. Quality is always part of the equation, and generally speaking the higher priced veneers use higher quality materials. Your veneers will last longer and look better.
5. Will my veneers chip or break?
Just like your natural teeth, veneers can chip or break. However, if you avoid crunching on ice, hard candy, or anything else that could damage your natural teeth then your veneers should hold up well.
6. Will my veneers look natural?
Absolutely! One of our priorities is making sure that no one can tell that your veneers are not natural teeth. We take great pride in our work, and guarantee that you will have a set of beautiful, natural looking veneers!
